We are once again heading to the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam where the Netherlands will face Austria in a game from Group C of the European Championship. Both teams won their first matches in this group, so it’d be interesting to see how they will do against each other. Here are our football betting tips online for this match. Stay tuned!

Although it wasn’t easy, Oranje celebrated their first win at the Euro 2020. Frank de Boer’s team faced Ukraine and it happened just as we expected – the Ukrainians proved to be a tough opponent. They got back in the game after conceding twice before PSV’s Denzel Dumfries scored a late winner. He headed the ball home after an excellent cross made by the substitution Nathan Ake.

What Frank de Boer can’t be happy about is the lack of concentration in his players. It’s not acceptable to have two goals advantage and then lose it. There’s no doubt this Dutch team has a lot of talented players, but the only way to win the Euro 2020 is to be as consistent and focused as possible.

Frenkie de Jong and Georginio Wijnaldum are the two leaders in Oranje’s midfield. They should have been teammates at Barcelona now, but in the last moment Wijnaldum chose to accept PSG’s offer. He scored one of the goals against Ukraine and he was bossing the midfield alongside De Jong. These two players’ performances will be crucial for the Netherlands’ performance in the competition.

In attack Memphis Depay is the biggest star in the Netherlands’ team. It’s just a matter of days before Depay completes his transfer to Barcelona. He made few very good seasons in France with Olympique Lyonnais, and he’s a very consistent performer for the national team as well. Memphis didn’t score against Ukraine, but teased Barca’s fans with a solid performance. He’s quick, agile and technical, but he also knows how to finish. Against Ukraine Depay played as a second striker to Wout Weghorst and did some very good job.

Frank de Boer’s most significant problem is the situation of the center-back Matthijs de Ligt. Juventus’ star had to miss the first game because of an injury, and it’s not completely clear when he would be back on the pitch. That’s a serious problem for Oranje because De Ligt is one of the best defenders in world football today. He was expected to lead the Netherlands’ defense in the absence of Virgil van Dijk.

One of the weak points in the Netherlands’ performance against Ukraine was their efficiency. Oranje had more than 80% possession, but not all of the time they had the idea what to do with this. We all know that it doesn’t make sense to have the ball for so much time, but to face so much problems in winning the game at the end. That’s something Frank de Boer and his players must work on – how to be more prolific in the penalty area and use the chances they create.

Austria are in a high mood after achieving their first win at European Championship in their history so far. This happened in the first round of the group stage when they faced North Macedonia in Bucuresti. Just like their next opponent, Das Team also needed late goals in order to take the win. They scored twice after the 78th minute when Gregoritsch and Arnautovic put the ball in the net. Before this Stefan Lainer opened the score for Austria.

David Alaba, a new signing to Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid, remains the most important player in the Austrian national team. He started in defense against North Macedonia, but drifted all around the pitch and even made a terrific assist for Gregoritsch’s crucial goal in the second half. Against a team like the Netherlands, Alaba’s presence in the penalty area is going to be needed. He must bring his confidence to his teammates and show them the way.

Konrad Laimer is another crucial player for Austria, not just because he scored the first goal against North Macedonia. Currently playing for one of the best Bundesliga sides RB Leipzig, Laimer is an influential figure in the midfield of Das Team. He’s responsible for distributing the ball all around the pitch and his work rate is absolutely essential for the Austiran team. He’s a player to watch indeed.

Marko Arnautovic’ goal against North Macedonia should be enough for him to earn a place in the starting eleven on Thursday. He came from the bench and scored the third goal for Das Team, but also got himself into some kind of a racist scandal. UEFA is investigating the situation right now, so it won’t be entirely surprising if Arnautovic gets suspended from playing. As you know, UEFA is taking racism incredibly seriously right now. But if he doesn’t get suspended, Arnautovic could be instrumental for Austria’s ambitions. Despite playing in China in the last two seasons, he remains prolific striker with a great eye for the goal.

Netherlands won the last game when this countries met in 2016. The match ended with a 2-0 for Oranje with Gini Wijnaldum and Vincent Janssen scoring for the Dutch side. What’s more worrying is the fact that Oranje won all of the last six games between the Netherlands and Austria. Surely this is not giving Das Team a lot of confidence, but it is what it is, right?

That’s the football betting tips online for the Euro 2020 match between the Netherlands and Austria at the beautiful Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam. Surprisingly Das Team are the current leader in this group, but most certainly this is not making them favorites against Oranje. This is the Netherlands’ game to lose as they are clearly the better team here. The Dutch side had some inconsistent moments against Ukraine in their first match, but now they must turn the next page and think about how to improve. Oranje are a talented team, but they most prove they are ready to win the European crown.
